By Max DibleShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberThe Philadelphia Eagles face the prospect of losing a couple of big-name players this offseason, including star wide receiver A.J. Brown, whom the team would likely attempt to replace with a performer of equal talent -- potentially out of the NFC South Division.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler dove into the latest trade rumors involving Brown following the conclusion of the NFL Combine on Sunday, March 1. During his examination of the scenario, Fowler noted that multiple league sources have linked Philadelphia to real interest in New Orleans Saints standout receiver Chris Olave should the Eagles ultimately decide to deal Brown in the coming days/weeks.
"Interest in A.J. Brown has picked up here late in the week. A few teams I consulted believe a trade package including a second-round pick is his true trade value," Fowler wrote. "During the Eagles' offensive coordinator search, some candidates got the impression that Brown was part of the plan. That's why some around the league believe Roseman could target a veteran receiver as part of any trade package -- say, if New Orleans can't reach a deal with Chris Olave."

...Olave finished last season as a second-team All-Pro selection following a campaign in which he produced 100 catches for 1,163 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
A former first-round pick out of Ohio State (No. 11 overall in 2022), Olave has one year remaining on his rookie contract with the Saints. He inked a four-year deal worth $19.3 million out of college, but New Orleans exercised the fifth-year team option on that agreement last May, which pays Olave $15.5 million in 2026.
Coming off of a career campaign that followed several previous concussions, which brought his long-term viability into question, Olave has a projected market value of $132 million over a new four-year contract, which equates to $33 million annually.
Olave will play next season at 26 years old, while Brown turns 29 years old in June and has been critical of the Eagles' offense and how he is utilized within it.
