Matt Nagy, the Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive coordinator, is reportedly a leading candidate for the Tennessee Titans’ head coaching vacancy, according to multiple NFL sources.
ESPN's Dan Graziano predicts The Titans will hire Matt Nagy, seeking a fresh direction after a challenging season. The Titans have interviewed Nagy, signaling serious interest in the former Chicago Bears head coach. While no official offer has been made, league insiders suggest Nagy is among several high-profile candidates being considered for the role.
Nagy’s potential move comes amid a period of change for the Chiefs. With the 2025 regular season concluded and the team missing the playoffs, speculation has swirled around Nagy’s future in Kansas City. His contract as offensive coordinator expires at the end of the season, giving him the flexibility to pursue head coaching opportunities elsewhere.
The 47-year-old coach, known for his offensive acumen and quarterback development, previously led the Chicago Bears from 2018-21, including a playoff appearance in 2018.
Tennessee’s head coaching search has attracted several candidates across the league, and Nagy’s combination of experience and offensive expertise positions him as a strong contender. Analysts note that his familiarity with high-powered offenses could be particularly appealing as the Titans look to maximize their roster’s potential in 2026 and beyond led by QB Cam Ward.
As of now, Nagy is scheduled for interviews with multiple teams and is expected to weigh his options carefully. The Titans are expected to make a decision in the coming weeks, with the NFL coaching carousel fully underway.
Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see whether Nagy makes the leap from coordinator to head coach once again, and whether he could bring a new era of success to Tennessee.
